Fall

No comments:
I love the changing of the seasons.  I love the Spring because the weather is just perfect...plus I'm a lil biased since my birthday happens to be in April.  I love Summer because there's so much to do and so much happening in the Summer.  I love the Winter, basically because of the holidays, but not the cold weather...not at all.  And Fall...well, because of the fashion.

Morrigan of Darkstalkers

No comments:
I seriously think that Capcom's Darkstalkers is a severely underrated game.  Granted, there are some other games Capcom has made that I have given little to no chance in playing for whatever reason (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure comes to mind...), but the Darkstalker's franchise shouldn't be overlooked.  Just from its art direction alone, it ranks as one of my favorites.  So it would be no surprise that I would choose to draw one of its main characters for a Halloween themed print

Capcom, Morrigan, sketch, illustration, Morrigan Aensland, Darkstalkers, Vampire Savior, African American, Black, Woman, Videogames, Halloween

I'm actually amazed that I finished a Halloween themed print before Halloween.

And if you would like to purchase this Morrigan Aensland illustration as an 11" x 17" print, you can do so either on here on my blog, or on my print purchase page!

Wonder Woman of Themyscira

No comments:
One of my favorite DC Comics Super heroines is Wonder Woman.  I really like her feminist attitude, as well the fact that she's just as strong as the big guys and is a major player in the Justice League.  I initially did a preliminary sketch of her that I sort of liked, but wasn't in love with it, so I sat on it for a while.  Then I saw a screen caption of an upcoming Justice League animated movie with a new redesigned suit for Wonder Woman, and I just had to change my sketch to fit her new suit.

And like I said in the previous post, I'm (hopefully) going to do a series of these women of DC sketches and illustrations and combine them all at the end.  I have some more sketching to do...as always.

(Some) Women of DC

No comments:
I've been seriously lagging behind my other social sites when it comes to posting sketches and drawings, so I'm going to do like multiple posts in a day to fix that.  I've been doing a lot of sketches recently of different women of DC comics that I can compose together for a larger image to post of them together.  So far, I'm thinking of Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, Black Canary, maybe the Huntress, Zatanna and possibly Vixen....but we'll see how it goes.  And while drawing Wonder Woman, I had a thought of drawing them individually, and then compiling them together later with a separate backdrop...but we'll see how cohesive that all looks in the end.  I may end up just doing them as a series instead and calling it a day.

Chillin' on the Stoop

No comments:
Like I said earlier, just because I haven't been posting doesn't mean that I haven't been sketching.  From doing commissions, and struggling to fit in personal stuff in there, to trying to finish illustrations, please believe that the pencil has been busy.  I soooo want to finish this, and there's some modification that I need to make before I do (eyeing perspective is never a great idea...always use rulers), but this will definitely get done.

I mean, you can't complain when there's an influx of creativity...you just have to roll with it and get as much of it down on paper (or the screen) as quick as you can before its gone.

Hopefully I can show some progress on this soon!

Harley Quinn: The Joke's On You

2 comments:
I have a seriously bad habit of neglecting this blog...and I don't really know why.  I seem to post stuff on every other social network BUT the one that I started posting my art on.  I need to cut that out.  Anyways, a while ago I finally finished that Harley Quinn picture that I posted on here not too long ago.  I also made it available as a print, if you would like Harley to grace your walls or frame in all of her 11" x 17" splendor.

I have other newer art that I need to post, and I definitely will soon, but once I get on a creative roll, I have to keep that pencil busy.  And you should always do the same too!!  But I do have at least a little time to tell you to follow me on Tumblr if you haven't already, check out my Facebook page, or follow me on Instagram!
